50 consecutive years in the Good Beer Guide

Back in August, on the opening day of our Beer Festival, CAMRA presented us with a very special award.

The Flower Pots Inn has been listed in the Good Beer Guide for 50 consecutive years and that is no mean achievement.  There are only a handful of pubs in the UK who have achieved that accolade and we were very proud indeed to be recognised by the good folk from CAMRA.

Whilst we have carried the mantle for the last five years, the real heroes who should be honoured are Jo Bartlett and Paul Tickner, along with Jo’s parents, John and Pat.  Between us, we have kept the Inn true to its roots as a welcoming and friendly public house, with a very strong emphasis on real cask ale and good food.  Long may that continue!

We had a great time at PotsFest celebrating the award, which now proudly sits behind the bar.
